Aptasensors Under Scrutiny: From the Kd Gate to Signal Causality

Sergey Krylov obtained his equivalent of PhD degree from Moscow State University and undergone postdoctoral training at the University of Alberta. He joined York University as Associate Professor in 2000 and was promoted to Professor in 2006. He received an honorary title of Distinguished Research Professor in 2020. He held CRC Tier II and YRC Tier I and received multiple research awards. He has been leading the Centre for Research on Biomolecular Interactions (mycrbi.com) since 2009. His research focuses on the creation of disruptive technologies for (i) disease detection, (ii) drug development, and (iii) fundamental biological studies. He is a Director of the Catalyzing Interdisciplinary Research Cluster “Technologies for Identification and Control of Infectious Diseases” (TICID) and a Director of the NSERC CREATE program “Technology-Enhanced Pharmaceutical Development” (TEPD).

Ionic liquid interface electrochemistry for real-time continuous gas sensors

Dr. Xiangqun Zeng is currently a Professor of Chemistry with joint appointment as a Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at University of Missouri Columbia. She is also an emeritus distinguished professor at Oakland University. She obtained Ph.D. in Electrochemistry and Surface Chemistry at State Univ. of New York at Buffalo in 1997. Her research interests lie at materials and interface science. Currently, her lab studies fundamental interfacial phenomena at electrode interfaces for the development of next generation detection technologies, i.e., in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo, in situ detection and quantification of molecules and species of chemical and biological significance with high sensitivity and specificity at high temporal and/or spatial resolution for a broad range of applications including health, environment and energy applications. She has over 10 patents, published over 120 peer review publications and mentored over 80 students/postdocs/visiting scholars including a Fulbright scholar. She was selected and featured in a book ” Women who changed the world The journey and joy” in 2015.
